Originally from Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua Mexico, Liz Pasillas is an entrepreneur, change maker and lover of cinema. As a Producer, she believes in developing material that speaks to the human experience and instills change socially.   As a Filmmaker, she is passionate about the visual arts and feels that developing strong relationships is key to the filmmaking process.   As an entrepreneur she tries to take people into the future with her, to get them thinking about how the latest developments in technology can be leveraged to make the world of work..work better.

Having had worked in various production roles, it was her move to Miami that helped her excel as an Independent Filmmaker and business owner. Along with partner/filmmaker Jonalex Herrera, they created New Discovery Media, a Miami-based cross-cultural production house that focuses on immersive & interactive content and experiences. It is at New Discovery Media where Liz has worked as a Producer, First Assistant Director, and Actor on various projects.

Liz’s current production shortlist includes: “PAPER EMPIRE Episode 1currently working in episodes 2,3,4, & 6  MALABAR with Director Freddy Rodriguez/66 Films and Executive Producer Diliana Alexander/FilmGate Miami. Also, she is working with writer/Director  Elaine Del Valle in her most recent production “ME 3.769as an assistant director.  

 She has also worked in independent films that have been won and participated in different recognized film festivals such as “CRAWLS” which took a finalist position in the horror category for the worldwide film competition “My Rode short film My RØDE Reel Short Film.

“ANAPHORA” Finalist and Audience Award at the Miami International Film Festival 2016 “DOWNSTREAM PEOPLE”, presented at the All Right India Film Festival 2016, “ESCARAMUZA DOWN CORAZON CON ANGEL”, a documentary that won the “Best Documentary Award” at Filmgate’s’ NOLA Film Festival 2016. 

“DESPIERTA VENEZUELA” part of the “Venezuela en Ficción” web series which was recognized by many international newspapers such as El Diario de Juárez at México, Mambi en Acción from Barcelona España, Dollar Today, Info Venezuela, Actualidad Venezuela and El Venezolano from Venezuela, and also earned me interviews on recognized talk shows such as Prohibido Callarse and Noticieros 18 from Mira TV and Sevcec a Fondo from America TV.

 “ONE LIFE” best screenplay winner at the Bright Minds Festival. Selected & Presented at the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival 2013 and the Miami Life Awards,   and “MORE THAN ONE” Short film winner of the Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes Vagón en Ciudad Juárez, México and Second place winner at the Binational Independent Film Festival at Ciudad Juárez, México, El Paso TX and Las Cruces Nuevo Mexico, to mention a few.

Also, Liz has been very fortunate to work with Grammy and Billboard award-winning Latino artists such as David Bisbal, Ivy Queen, Jencarlos Canela, Paty Cantú, Juan Magán & Maffio. Her commercial credits also include working with major brands such as Vix, Disney World, Target, FedEx Express, New York Life Latino, DFASS Group, Avianca Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Double Tree, Hilton Hotels to mention a few.

She recently produced a 360º concert experience for the recognized reggae band Cultura Profetica,  as well as the coverage of the 20th-anniversary concert of Molotov’s album: ¿Dónde jugarán las niñas?, and the 360º concert of the Mexican band El TRI fronted by Alex Lora.

Liz has been selected this year for NATPE to be part a special project that Scott Sternberg, CEO and founder of LA-based unscripted specialist Scott Sternberg Productions put together along with 12 development executives from around the US.
